Battery drain while in sleep mode (Windows 10)

Hello

I have an Asus GL551. It original had Windows 8.1 on it but I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months ago. Ever since it has been running Windows 10 the battery will drain completely within 10-12 hours while in sleep mode. When it had Windows 8.1 this was not an issue. There would still be plenty of battery power even after a few days of not being used and in sleep mode. 

I suspect that is is coming out of sleep mode periodically and draining the battery. Just the other day I had been watching a YouTube video. When It finished I closed the lid of the laptop putting it to sleep. About two hours later, with the lid closed the laptop started playing the Youtube video all by itself. I had not touched the computer and the lid was still closed.

Any ideas?

    I did this, and it appears that sometimes during sleep that cortana voice activation can use power.  So i turned that off.  However, I believe I am seeing that my laptop seems to switch between "sleep" and "screen off" modes when I have the lid closed.  Are these different?  Furthermore, another thing that uses power is something labeled "Bl".  Is this bluetooth or something?  Anyway, hoping the Cortana thing works, and regardless, thank you for your continued attempts to help me.

    That is why I mentioned using an Admin command prompt.  Right click the start button then go up to Command Prompt (Admin)..

    I tried this, it says that the prompt requires administrator privileges (i own the laptop?) And must be executed from an elevated command prompt.  Thoughts?

    I believe the Surface products are Modern Standby systems.  If yours is, it does not actually go to sleep but goes into a low power mode.  During the low power mode, battery drain might be around 2% to 5% of the battery per hour.

    The powercfg /sleepstudy should show what is happening during those periods.  If you run the command in an admin command prompt, keep track of where it places the report.

    If you don't understand the report, you may need to study it for a while to make sense of it.  But there are things in each section to check to see what might be causing the power drain.
