After several attempts of downloading the latest update KB3093594 and reboots. I am Not able to update my Windows Live Mail 2012 program emails since around December 11, 2015. I get the following error message:

Server Error:0x80004005 and Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80004005

I am continuing to investigate. Please advise.

I had a problem only with my calendar not updating (I guess I was lucky) and the update did fix hat so now everything works fine. I have 4 accounts that WLM downloads and all work. Have you tried contacting MS directly? I know they can be a real pain in the a** but maybe they can help. By the way what email services do you use? I use Time Warner for 2 accounts (twc.com), Frontier (frontier.com) which is actually Yahoo mail and Gmail. I believe MS has said that some services won't work (Hotmail, etc).

It's the MS outlook live mail that does not work. All non MS email accounts work. MS failed to update all their mail servers at the same time. The KB update caused the failure for users that still on the mail servers that have not been updated.

The Calendar functions and sync with Outlook.com are still not working properly.  The new events in my WLM PC Calendar do not get synced to the Outlook.com Calendar, so that I haven't gotten notifications for any events I created after applying the patch.   The new events in my WLM Calendar eventually (I don't know how long it takes) get saved to the Calendar on my PC - i.e., if I shut down WLM and restart it and I haven't waited long enough, recently entered new events disappear and have to be re-entered.
