We have received reports that the Windows Live Mail update- KB KB3093594, is causing stability issues for many of our customers running Windows Live Mail 2012.

Sorry for the delay in posting this update.
On Dec 17^th^we rereleased the Windows Live Mail update KB3093594. For users who had previously installed this update and were experiencing a crash when launching the Windows Live Mail app, please download and re-install KB3093594 and this issue should be resolved.

Some users have independently reported a separate issue with sync of mail with attachments that we continue to investigate.

Some customers have reported other issues with the release on December 17, 2015. This update is no longer being offered while Microsoft investigates these issues further. Server interactions will remain supported during this investigation.

Sorry, but I'm probably a bit dense. Are you saying that repairing the installation didn't restore the versions of the DLLs that Windows Essentials needs?
Repair is a more far-reaching operation that re-installing, because (I think) the repair function conducts a version check, while re-install only checks for presence or absence of the required files.
There are plenty of users who have reported that repair fixed the missing msvcr110.dll error, if not the others (which are much rarer).
I am astounded by the negativity and technical complications I am reading. I am completely non-technical. I had the same problem like everyone else after downloading the patch back in December. I figured out what to do. It was not too difficult to fix. I did not consult an IT consultant. My WLM is working without a hitch, except, the small issue of missing info in the Sent folder under Account, an insignificant issue under the present circumstances. I see that other members independently similarly figured the practical solutions as I did. It is clear that WLM has low priority for MS, so stop harassing them and at least appreciate that they did not discontinue WLM like they initially announced they would. WLM is a powerful email client and I am happy to be able to be working with it on a daily basis. Reading through past posts by various members shows practical solutions to making WLM work again.
For all of those that are tech unsavy, I have found a fix to this problem. I found a website that does IT online.
For those who are only experiencing a mail syncing problem, tech support told me to delete my account and gave me instructions on how to re-add it using the IMAP setting. If you know how to do that, then I would definitely try it. But if you still need help or don't know how, I have incluced the web address for the IT website that I used. It cost $42 through Paypal and is completely money back guaranteed. I am also going to bookmark the website for future issues, so if the address doesn't work, just let me know. The address is:

I believe I am correct stating that if you use IMAP, your Contacts and Calendar will not sync. So, check that out before you jump.

I am not sure about the calendar or contacts, as I do not use them except for contacts that I add in Windows Live that I email or want to receive emails from. That is why in my post I stated that that particular fix was for those who were having email sync issues. However, the link to the IT website could probably help with it. I typically would not recommend anything of that sort of website. I normally don't do anything on the computer that I need tech support for that is not included with the computer warranty. However, since there are so many people having issues and Microsoft is of absolutely no help, I figured that I would put it out there for those that are not tech savy, like myself. And since it is money back guaranteed, I felt comfortable giving the link. It is just what worked for me. And since no one else is offering any help for those of us who know nothing about this sort of thing, my post was mostly meant for that audience. After all, the people that are on here stating what worked for them are not putting it in words that the average joe can understand or follow. I mean, no offense, but not everyone is able to do it themselves and would appreciate the help of an IT person, even if it did cost a little money. And $42 is a small price to pay for being able to send/receive emails in WLM2012.
