    Hi TomS

Since lunch today WLM2012 has been Ok and not shown the errors I had, But that doesn't mean it will be fine tomorrow. I will leave well alone for a day or so unless it gets worse and then will try uninstalling and reinstalling the whole of Live Essentials.

I loved Outlook Express and had used it since the beginning and hoped to continue but it failed to work with Win7 so had to either use Outlook or WLM. Outlook was a little heavy so went with WLM.

I never got an error code so only searched regarding the problem after patching, so missed any other posts about other similar issues.

Lets hope they are not too long releasing an update that doesn't have a bug in it.

    Me.43 ,

Let me know how you make out with the whole uninstall and reinstall. The problem is the update KB3093594 does not show up in INSTALLED UPDATES. For me anyway. So, although I searched for it, I could not find it to remove it before I did the uninstall/reinstall.

I have never seen an update that did not show up in the INSTALLED UPDATES list.

Don't understand who does that thinking!

    TomS

    Thank you.

We have received reports that the Windows Live Mail update- KB KB3093594, is causing stability issues for many of our customers running Windows Live Mail 2012.

Could I please ask for some clarification: are the reports you refer to crash reports submitted through WER? If so, is this what you mean by 'stability issues'?

We have identified the root cause and are currently working on a fix that addresses the issue for impacted users on applicable platforms.

I ask for clarification because the crashes I've seen reported in these forums are overwhelmingly occurring in Windows 10. So:

    • Does users on applicable platforms mean only those on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 - the platforms to which the update applies? Even though there have been no confirmed reports of program crashes on these platforms?

    Or:

    • Is this forthcoming fix also intended to enable the update to be applied on Windows 10?

I did perform the update, but am no longer receiving email messages  I tried a test to see if the email comes in. No luck.

I have to go to the Internet and go to outlook.com to see my e-mail messages and I hate it.  I love the Windows Live Mail 2012.  I have all my accounts there...see my calendar; and can check at a glance for any upcoming events -- all of which I cannot do from the Internet.  I also cannot hold an outgoing message in my outbox using outlook.com -- it automatically sends it and I cannot adjust the screen.

Don't mess up Windows Live Mail 2012... bring it back to the way it used to work.  PLEASE

I am using WLM 2012 on Win 8.1.  I installed the update a few days ago.  Although I have not had any stability issues, I have noticed something weird...

If I go to "Sent items", every email I have sent since the update shows my name in the "To" column.
