Stability Issues with the Windows Live Mail 2012 Update – KB3093594

We have received reports that the Windows Live Mail update- KB KB3093594, is causing stability issues for many of our customers running Windows Live Mail 2012.

Thank you for reporting this issue.

We have identified the root cause and are currently working on a fix that addresses the issue for impacted users on applicable platforms.

Sorry for the delay in posting this update.

On Dec 17^th^we rereleased the Windows Live Mail update KB3093594.  For users who had previously installed this update and were experiencing a crash when launching the Windows Live Mail app, please download and re-install KB3093594 and this issue should be resolved.

Some users have independently reported a separate issue with sync of mail with attachments that we continue to investigate.

Some customers have reported other issues with the release on December 17, 2015. This update is no longer being offered while Microsoft investigates these issues further. Server interactions will remain supported during this investigation.

    I only had the one in November and Paypal asked me to sent them a copy for investigation , since then it has returned to normal .

    someone can tell me why header mails received are all encoded in 64-bit?

    Others have complained that the headers available in mail messages downloaded to Windows Live Mail by Exchange ActiveSync are only a tiny subset of the total. This makes it impossible to trace the origin of the message without using the View message source option in Outlook Mail.

    The block of code is the Base64-encoded message body, not its headers. This is an effective - if slightly inefficient - way of transmitting the message; it works for messages in any language, even Chinese, but it uses three times as much bandwidth as it would if it were only a plain-text message in English.

    You can see what it contains by decoding it, e.g. using this online decoder. You'll see that the links in it would take you to https://www.com~~~asa.com/css/superfish/img/unim/Confirmation/, which has nothing to do with PayPal. You would also see this URL by pointing at the link in the email and looking at the status bar.
