Stability Issues with the Windows Live Mail 2012 Update – KB3093594

Holy cow! Then why is MS informing us that update KB3093594 is necessary if we wish to continue using WLM 12??

I have a similar issue as described by Me.43 re Live Mail 2012. After installing the improved patch, the main files which had a sub file remained intact but the sub file became invisible and inaccessible. However, the sub file has not disappeared, nor has the corresponding sub filed been deleted from the server. I attempted to add a sub file with the same name as the lost one on the same main file, which got as response that a sub file with this name already exists, to write in another name (as is usual, no duplicate names for sub files are possible). However, there is no access to the hidden sub files I have been able to locate.

Windows Live Mail 2012 works fine with Windows 10 as long as you DO NOT install the update KB3093594.

This only applies as long any Microsoft Email account you're using has not been upgraded to Outlook Mail. When that happens, you will no longer be able to synchronize the account's mail folders using DeltaSync, and you won't be able to synchronize contacts and calendar with this account, either.

I will stop using then and move to another email service who still retains the correct integration with WLM2012.

There is no other service that offers this three-pronged (mail/contacts/calendar) integration with Windows Live Mail, which was built specifically to synchronize (then) Hotmail (now) Microsoft Email accounts. The best you could hope for is mail synchronization alone via IMAP, which you can also implement in Windows Live Mail.

It seems unfair to write-off Windows Live Mail 2012 for Windows 10, and I am speak for others as well that we have come to rely on this with all that it has to offer!

There is a slight problem with syncing sometimes; Microsoft/Outlook.com do I have to write-off WLM2012?

What about all my storage folder?    

Windows Live Mail 2012 works fine with Windows 10 as long as you DO NOT install the update KB3093594.

I installed the update and had to uninstall the complete program and re-install back to the last working edition and now I am back with a fully working WLM2012 version 16.4.3528.0331 as I was before installing the apparent bug ridden KB update.

If when they finish messing with the various Microsoft email addresses and they no longer integrate with WLM2012 I will stop using then and move to another email service who still retains the correct integration with WLM2012.

I have yet to find another email software that allows me to store all my emails from different addresses in a whole variety of off-line folders on my PC and then remove them from the web based servers, when I want.

I will not be using the integrated email within windows10 as it does not appear to have a quarter of the functions that WLM2012 has. When and if Microsoft finally understand that not all their users want to keep emails on their server and DO want to store some if not all off-line on a local PC and re-write the email program to allow that, they are going to find that users are going to keep on complaining and giving bad reports.
