There are still issues which I encounter and  have listed them  on other threads, some with solutions

    1. Font changes on headers on launching mail with new emails
    2. The Message 'sent to' column STILL shows the recipients name with the account column empty ( I cure this by moving each mail to the junk folder and back again but it creates 2 emails one of which I then delete )
    3. My folders and sub folders  sometimes disappear from time to time, which I am able to make visible again by creating an empty folder with any name and then delete it (in the same location). This makes the folder re appear normally again !
    4. Emails sent take ages to appear in the sent folder , and don't show in the outbox , they are in limbo somewhere ???

Brilliant Jiggy1 - that is how I also worked around it and works well, with Live Mail now working without a hitch as it did in the past, in contrast to the new Windows 10 Mail client where the folders do not sync no matter how you try it. I am happy with Live Mail and have no need for change now that it is working well again.

The easiest way to make sub folders reappear is to create a blank folder in the same location ( any name ) then delete it , and afterwards sub folders that were previously not visible reappear . This worked for me and many others

I posted some observations recently. Thanks to all who replied. I was grateful for everyone's interest and preparedness to assist. I the meantime I did reinstall KB3093594 following MS advice of 20 Dec the patch had been fixed. I only use Live Mail for emails, not for calendar. To my surprise at first syncing seemed to work. I have several folders which have sub folders. The sub folders and content did not appear. However, when filing an item into one of the main folders, it became evident in the Move box (i.e. the box that appears when moving or filing an item) that somehow the sub folders had been downloaded, but that the sub folders were just not visible on the main panel. I worked around this and found a way to get the sub folders to be shown and sync with the server faultlessly and the problem has gone. I do not want to describe my own fix as it would become too difficult to describe but if anyone experiences the same problem with the sub folders now showing, please let me know and I will gladly explain how to make that work. Kind regards to all - Philip

What I found to work for me was the following for Windows 10:

Move all of my messages to storage folders.  Uninstall WLM.  Restart my PC. Re-install WLM.  Do not update with the patch.  Move messages back to their original folders, e.g., "Inbox", "Sent", etc.

    Good luck.

Microsoft needs to speak up with a definitive answer on WLM/Windows 10/new Outlook Mail!  The patch doesn't work on Windows 10!
