    Sharief K,

Thanks for the information.  Please let us know anything you find out about this situation.

I'm following your advice and watching:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3093594

My best understanding of the situation is:

Microsoft released a new version of d-Mail.msp on 12/17/2015.

DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATED (second version) d-Mail.msp released on 12/17/2015

DO NOT INSTALL THE ORIGINAL (first version) d-Mail.msp released on 12/11/2015

    From https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3093594 :

    Known issues about this update

    • Issue 1: After you install this update (that was released before December 17, 2015), you may find that the program crashes soon after start.

Solution: Microsoft has identified the cause and has released a fix that addresses the issue for affected users on applicable platforms. To fix this issue, install this update that's released on December 17, 2015.

    • Issue 2: After you install this update that's released on December 17, 2015, you may experience mail sync issues.

This issue occurs because of a server-side problem. Microsoft is researching this issue and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.

To avoid confusion & duplication of effort, please post any/all further follow-up in replies to your own, new thread => http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/oemail-osend/what-are-you-supposed-to-do-with-windows-live/5f9bf730-f05d-42ed-87a1-3cd034bd1136

The only confusion is with your post and the Microsoft Updates. I am quite aware of where and to what discussion I am posting and as I am reading other community member post about the same problem and their post to different threads I can only imagine they are just as confused. None of the other contributors to this discussion mentioned being confused by MY post.  Please do not give me orders and you do not need to be checking my post history either. I have reported your post as ABUSE. Let us see what a MODERATOR has to say.

I am just a Microsoft customer trying to sort through the problem Microsoft has created with poor product execution.

Thank you for acknowledging my question.  I found the entire email extremely confusing.  The first paragraph says 'no more..blah blah blah); the next (as I interpreted it and am paraphrasing here); but if you want to keep it -- update here...blah blah blah.... so I chose the first download option -- then kaboom!

I agree with you that they seem to sabotage themselves; very similar to Big Blue -- (IBM) back in the day when they came out with new hardware machines; models 60; 80 and changed their SNA and didn't tell anyone -- next thing IBM was on sale at Radio Shack?

Microsoft's original email provider allowed us to write scripts and send lovely emails -- now I am forced to use Outlook and just don't understand why they 'improve' their products but seem to make things worse... what a shame :(

I don't know what I am going to do now... will have to wait and hope they realize that when they make changes -- they should beta test them before releasing them to the universe :(
