Windows 10

Started today 11/20/2015 whenever I access Windows Live Mail (2012)  I get an error message 'There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.  I saw a reply for this problem dated 12/2014 but it did not address this problem in Win 10.  Please advise.  The PC was a Win 8.1 before the upgrade.

Thank you!

I applied the patch to my desktop with windows 10. Now when I open (windows live mail) it gets hung up on updating calendar and then get a message Windows Live Mail has stopped working, then looks for a solution to the problem. I still get my email.

I also updated my laptop with windows 7 with the same patch (d-mail.msp) and it works fine.

Same thing happened to our Win 10 desktop with Live Mail  2012.  The "stopped working" message does not appear each time I have launched WL Mail - it seems to be intermittent.  Hoping this is resolved but I will monitor it.

    Thanks, Bruce EW

My account has been upgraded.  I applied the patch/fix (KB2093594).  Now shortly after I start Windows Live Mail 2012, I see the error message 'Windows Live Mail has stopped working' and the program crashes. I tried removing the Outlook account and leaving my other gmail account but Windows Live Mail still crashes.

Prior to applying this patch, I had manually configured my Microsoft account as an IMAP account.  This was as per suggestions made in another thread about problems with Windows Live Mail.  After applying those recommended IMAP configuration settings, I was able to read and send mail via my Microsoft account using the Windows Live Mail application.  However, I did get the warning message about calendar info that Bruce EW described at the start of this thread and did not see calendar info in Windows Live Mail.

I had the same symptom as Joe S_849.  My account has been upgraded.  I installed the KB3093594 patch and now have the same problem as some others:  Live Mail no longer runs.  It says "Windows Live Mail has stopped working" while updating the calendar.  I am running Live Mail 2012 Build 16.4.3528.0331 on Windows 10 with updates automatically installed.  Is there a way to remove the KB3093594 patch, other than restoring a previous Windows restore point?  Thanks!
