Windows Live Mail and Calendars

Windows 10

Started today 11/20/2015 whenever I access Windows Live Mail (2012)  I get an error message 'There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.  I saw a reply for this problem dated 12/2014 but it did not address this problem in Win 10.  Please advise.  The PC was a Win 8.1 before the upgrade.

    Hi All,

    Same problem W10, advice from the Outlook email to install the KB update.

    Mine had the same issues as the other's. Uninstalling Win Live Mail and re installing made no improvement.

    From reading these post's, for Win 10, I seem to resolved my crashing, and forced close, by going from the Mail page down to the bottom left to the where it has icons for Mail, Calendar, Feeds and selecting Calendar.

    Once on the Calendar page, about the middle left under in my case MSN.COM (my email acct type) there are 3 ticked boxes, untick the one for Calendar which synchronizes the Calendar with the email's.

    I then restarted the PC and W L Mail  & Calendar worked again separately,  but no more crash and close of the WLM.

    Find " ripristino" on Cortana, and then Restore option, then you have to choose the last restore point (punto di ripristino) the pc created.....and you solve. No files are cancelled, don't be worry

    Just in case you want to uninstall the Hotfix KB3093594 (d-Mail.msp) you could run the following command in an elevated command line:

    Msiexec /package {B775C26B-EAA8-4A11-ACBF-76E52DF6B805} /uninstall {342DCD5D-5946-453B-97AC-D53B7662EDF5}

    Don't start Windows Live Mail 2012 yet and reboot.

    You need to click "Repair", when the msp wizards asks to remove or repair the application.

    After that you can synchronize the calendar again (until Microsoft really switches the support off, as mentioned in the email).

    When this happens, you should open Live Mail, logoff (the icon with your avatar on the right in the menu bar, logoff from Windows Live Mail), close Live Mail, reinstall d-Mail.msp, reboot and never click the Logon button again. You can still use your POP3 and IMAP accounts but no calendar synchronization until Microsoft fixes the wcsync.dll.

    The Restore or Ripristino in italian language did not run because it didn't find a suitable point, ok

    The command suggested  by Alexander Freudenberg seems to have solved but I'm noting an high usage of CPU (32%) is someone finding the same issue?
