I'm still having the problem. I got to my Outlook.com page.
No "Outlook Mail (Preview). So looks like I haven't received the upgrade.
Thanks,

Windows 10
Started today 11/20/2015 whenever I access Windows Live Mail (2012) I get an error message 'There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative. I saw a reply for this problem dated 12/2014 but it did not address this problem in Win 10. Please advise. The PC was a Win 8.1 before the upgrade.
Thank you!

I have had this same problem since Nov. 20 and have tried all the fixes, but has not remedied the problem. I just did this latest check and it seems my account has been upgraded. Very annoying, hope it is fixed soon.
@Everybody
This thread has a generic title, and many of you seem to be experiencing the same symptoms. However, the problem may not have the same cause in every case, so any solution that may be found for one will not necessarily work for any of the others.
That said, there are major changes taking place at Outlook.com, and some of you may be suffering the consequences of this. To see whether you are one of those affected,
Please respond to say whether your account has been upgraded or not. There are remedies available, but I won't post them until we find out whether the upgrade is the culprit. In your reply, please say whether you have the same Microsoft Account set up as a mail account in Windows Live Mail. If you do, it will appear in the folder pane of your mail window (press Ctrl-1 or click the first, Mail icon at the foot of the folder pane). Right-click on the account name in the folder pane and select Properties. At the top of the Server(s) tab, you'll see the type of account - HTTP, IMAP or POP3. Please give this also in your reply.
It may be coincidence but my problem with not updating the calendar events from Windows Live Mail 2011 also started about a week ago.
I tried the repair essentials but even though it reported a successful repair, I still am seeing the same error message.
The Windows Live program is launched from the taskbar.
Any additional suggestions would be more than welcomed.

PS my former Win 7 upgraded to Win 10 and running Windows LIve Mail 2011 does NOT show this problem. And the problem with my desktop upgraded from 8.1 to 10 worked fine until about a week ago.
