Universal mobile keyboard won't work

The keyboard works fine while plugged in charging but as soon as it is unplugged to actually be mobile, like its name would suggest, it won't turn on. Even manually using the power/pair button on the side doesn't work. Am I missing something or does it sound like it's definitely broken?

2017-06-27T23:20:13+00:00 First off the good points. Beautifully crafted, with lovely keys and excellent typing experience which reminds me of the classic thinkpad keyboards. Functions are equally amazing and all work fine with a myriad of useful shortcuts. The cover is a work of art that slides open and attaches with magnets. Now let us explore the major flaw. As many have reported the keyboard having a problem charging at some point- although it may still work when plugged in. This happened to me and therefore I took it apart to discover the problem. Let me say that it is not possible to open up the keyboard without causing damage and I suspect will lead to it being unusable. But I did so to discover the problem. Where you able to salvage the keyboard in the end? And what's the better way to take it apart?

2017-06-28T10:31:24+00:00 Hi. No the problem is that it has been so tightly fitted with glue and plastic pins that i could not salvage the keyboard. I think i need to get hold of a few faulty ones so i can find a better way of accessing the faulty part and resolder. At the moment it is not something i can fund. I really love the keyboard and i have now tried so many but nothing comes close the the feel of this one. So i am planning to buy another brand new one. When it breaks i will have another board to work with to fix. I think i may be able to cut a section to access the fault, and then reglue a section of that back. It may spoil the cosmetics but i will have a working board. By the way of anyone wishes to donate a broken keyboard to me please let me know could mean potentially being able to buy job lots of broken boards and bring them all back to use! I wonder if microsoft have lots of broken ones they can donate to me?
