Universal mobile keyboard won't work

The keyboard works fine while plugged in charging but as soon as it is unplugged to actually be mobile, like its name would suggest, it won't turn on. Even manually using the power/pair button on the side doesn't work. Am I missing something or does it sound like it's definitely broken?

    Yes, I agree. There seem to be two main issues reported with this keyboard.

    1. Your issue is that it is incompatible with Windows 10 on mobile phones, which has been reported by other people. I would argue that problem is actually a Windows 10 issue, as the keyboard worked on previous Windows mobile versions but stopped working when those phones upgraded.
    2. The other issue, and the one experienced by most people on this thread, is an issue with the hardware itself. In that the keyboard works perfectly while charging, but does not even power on when the charger cable is removed. This problem can be immediate, or occur over time, and seems to be the result of bad soldering on the power socket.

    Since your issue is the Windows 10 mobile incompatibility, I would suggest you need to start a new thread, as this thread is discussing the hardware issue. I hope you get a good result! Good luck, I'm not convinced Microsoft gives a damn about either issue quite honestly!

    One Amazon reviewer opened up his faulty unit, and found that the battery is fine but the power socket is badly soldered on. 

    So it appears to be a manufacturing problem/design flaw with the power socket. 

    My keyboard retains it's charge after 3 days of trying to pair it with my phone(Idol 4S). The phone sees it, even gives me a PIN to enter but is simply unable to connect. At least in my case, it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue. It's a shame really because I bought the phone specifically for the Continuum option :/

Possibly just one batch, although considering this thread is now over a year old and has multiple people experiencing the same problem over that time, I'm going with a design flaw that potentially affects all these keyboards.

    Time for a recall and apology Microsoft, not time for insulting us with nonsense replies.

    I'm waiting.
