Universal mobile keyboard won't work

The keyboard works fine while plugged in charging but as soon as it is unplugged to actually be mobile, like its name would suggest, it won't turn on. Even manually using the power/pair button on the side doesn't work. Am I missing something or does it sound like it's definitely broken?

2019-01-06T10:46:20+00:00 Same thing... purchased a while ago so guarantee is finished. Worked for a time and then stopped charging. Nice to have to travel with a battery pack for a portable keyboard... . I'll go to Logitech instead. I imagine MS will not organise a call-back (as they should...)

2018-07-11T16:15:28+00:00 Honestly, this was the biggest crap I have ever owned, very expensive one also. I got rid of it a long time ago and do not regret having done so.
I will never buy anything with Microsoft's logo on it.

It works with Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo, but not any of my other devices, e.g. Galaxy Tab 8.9 or Samsung Galaxy J5.
Very disappointing, since the buttons clearly indicate Android, Microsoft & iPhone / iPad.
If there are exceptions, it should have been clearly stated on the box so one doesn't spend money on a useless piece of tech.
