I finally cracked the shell of the mouse. The (6) screws holding the mouse are so small - I don't have an Allen Key to fit, and I have three sets of Allen Keys. Going to suck it up and buy a new mouse. Boo Microsoft!
Designer Bluetooth Mouse Scroll Wheel Malfunction
I may be the only person on Earth with this problem, but the scroll wheel on the Designer Bluetooth Mouse stopped working, seemingly out of nowhere. All other functionality of the mouse remains in good working order. Perhaps I need to return it seeing as I've been using it for only a few months, but I figured I would check to see if there is a simple fix before pleading my case at the store.

2019-03-14T00:44:30+00:00 I read in the Forum that the Microsoft Store was doing exchanges because it was a know issue. maybe they'll still replace it for free (even in parts).

2019-05-01T12:53:45+00:00 I called the Microsoft Store phone number. It connected me to a call center that services all the stores. After much discussion, I somehow managed to get connected to the Surface division specifically. Someone there got me in touch with Surface service and, again, after much discussion and a few different phone calls they sent me a new mouse free of charge. I took this route since I don't live close to a Microsoft Store and don't have a car. Otherwise I just would have driven there because that likely would have been easier. It just took lots of polite conversation and explanation of what happened and what I tried to do myself before it was realized they could send me a new mouse. I think the key part was getting connected to the Surface division.
