Designer Bluetooth Mouse Scroll Wheel Malfunction

I may be the only person on Earth with this problem, but the scroll wheel on the Designer Bluetooth Mouse stopped working, seemingly out of nowhere.  All other functionality of the mouse remains in good working order.  Perhaps I need to return it seeing as I've been using it for only a few months, but I figured I would check to see if there is a simple fix before pleading my case at the store.

    Exact same problem here. Broke today. I received this mouse in April.

    I bought mine on July 22nd 2017 and the scroll wheel stopped working oct. 15th 2017 - or rather it spins freely as you describe and cannot scroll pages anymore. That is less than 3 months after i bought it. I whish I checked this mouse some more before I bought it. It is a defective design.

    Microsoft, have you got an answer for this or do I need to take it back for a replacement. Same issue and details as above. 

    Paid a lot for this 'designer' set up; 1/4 price gets are more reliable set up...

    Looks like by my own experience and other users replies a standard "software might be a problem" reply won't solve it as it's a hardware problem. Warranty replacement will do it.

    The same thing just now happened to me... I have the Microsoft Surface Bluetooth Mouse for my Surface Book and the scroll wheel stopped working -- it just spins freely. And I've had it for less than a year! So is Microsoft not going to fix/replace? If so, looks like I'll stay away from Microsoft products in the future.
