Designer Bluetooth Mouse Scroll Wheel Malfunction

I may be the only person on Earth with this problem, but the scroll wheel on the Designer Bluetooth Mouse stopped working, seemingly out of nowhere.  All other functionality of the mouse remains in good working order.  Perhaps I need to return it seeing as I've been using it for only a few months, but I figured I would check to see if there is a simple fix before pleading my case at the store.

    I read in the Forum that the Microsoft Store was doing exchanges because it was a know issue.  maybe they'll still replace it for free (even in parts).

    I finally cracked the shell of the mouse. The (6) screws holding the mouse are so small - I don't have an Allen Key to fit, and I have three sets of Allen Keys. Going to suck it up and buy a new mouse. Boo Microsoft!

    I have the very same issue.  Mouse working fine since i bought it 3 months ago and then all of a sudden whilst i was scrolling it started to free wheel and obviously not scroll the page.

    Take it into the MS store and they'll swap it out for you.  We've had this happen to about 10-15 of ours at the office.
