Possible to watch movies I purchased on XBOX One on my Apple iPhone?

I have a media purchasing dilemma. I am trying to decide how I will purchase movies going forward.  I have an iPhone 6 Plus, but I love the idea of using my XBOX as a media center.  Is it possible to watch movies that I purchase from the Microsoft Store on my XBOX One on my iPhone? Is there a Microsoft player or app that will enable me to access my Microsoft purchased movies on my iPhone? Or will I be limited to watching it ONLY on my XBOX One?

If I'm limited to watching only on my XBOX One, then I won't use my XBOX as media center. I'll just get an Apple TV because I'd like to be able to take my purchased content with me everywhere.  Any help and insight will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, it's not yet possible as there is no Microsoft Movies & TV / Xbox Video app available for iOS or Android devices.

Is it on the roadmap?  Is anyone working on the app for Iphone?  If not, can I transfer all my purchases to Itunes or Amazon so I have some options?

This is utterly ridiculous by the way. I guess Microsoft doesn't want to succeed?

Perhaps I should look into Amazon, which allows me to do exactly this.

Ballmer would have never let this happen. Nadella’s whole restructuring plan of MS’s products and services and pushing the company’s main focus to corporate services and Azure has set Microsoft back so far back. It has forced so many loyal consumers, like myself, to leave Microsoft and find sanctuary with their competitors. With home media entertainment and streaming services booming, Nadella is an idiot for not making the advantages of the Xbox’s former, current, and potential succes and push its media product and services to a prioriety. This sets up the young consumers of now to not look to Microsoft for their wants and needs in the future.
