Possible to watch movies I purchased on XBOX One on my Apple iPhone?

I have a media purchasing dilemma. I am trying to decide how I will purchase movies going forward.  I have an iPhone 6 Plus, but I love the idea of using my XBOX as a media center.  Is it possible to watch movies that I purchase from the Microsoft Store on my XBOX One on my iPhone? Is there a Microsoft player or app that will enable me to access my Microsoft purchased movies on my iPhone? Or will I be limited to watching it ONLY on my XBOX One?

If I'm limited to watching only on my XBOX One, then I won't use my XBOX as media center. I'll just get an Apple TV because I'd like to be able to take my purchased content with me everywhere.  Any help and insight will be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, it's not yet possible as there is no Microsoft Movies & TV / Xbox Video app available for iOS or Android devices.

    yes is it possible to watch movies that you purchased from the Microsoft Store on your  XBOX One on your iPhone.

    Just download the XBOX music app on your iPhone.

    You would think Microsoft would want to get iOS and Andriod apps out there sooner rather than later. They have the best game/media living room solution out right now. I know Apple is about to explore the game/media console with their next iteration of the Apple TV. You'd think Microsoft would want to lock down their Apple/XBOX and Android owners with unifying bridges to their devices, thus extending the Microsoft ecosystem to a far greater array of devices. This would, in turn, make purchasing music and video from Microsoft a genuine no-brainer for Apple/XBOX owners as well as Android/XBOX owners.  I wonder if there is some kind of licensing issue on Apple hardware that prevents Microsift from creating such an app.

    Just wanted to publish that the info you gave on this topic is inaccurate. It is not possible for iOS users to watch movies from the Microsoft store on their iOS devices using an XBOX music app.  There is currently no way for iOS (iPhone/iPad) users to watch movies from the Microsoft store on their iOS devices.

    I was compelled to make this correction because I'm sure many others have (or will have) this question and many of those will come across this thread. Since you are a forum moderator, your posting may be taken with a bit more weight than some other posters. So I felt it was important that I correct the record so as to offset the confusion that your posting on this topic will undoubtedly cause.

    Thanks so much for your reply. I've discovered on some random blog that I found doing a Google search, that Microsoft plans on bringing both their music app as well as their Movies & TV app to both Android and iOS. That blog cited their source as Microsoft and linked to the Microsoft blog (I've provided both links below). Now, the Microsoft blog, (published July 6, 2015) did mention that they intend to bring their music app Groove to Android and iOS (which they have done already), but the article says nothing about Microsoft's Movies & TV app coming to Android and iOS.  So, I remain in the dark about this.

    Being a Microsoft support engineer, can you shed any light on whether or not Microsoft plans on bringing the Movies & TV app to iOS?

    Thanks for any insight you can share.
