Possible to watch movies I purchased on XBOX One on my Apple iPhone?

I have a media purchasing dilemma. I am trying to decide how I will purchase movies going forward.  I have an iPhone 6 Plus, but I love the idea of using my XBOX as a media center.  Is it possible to watch movies that I purchase from the Microsoft Store on my XBOX One on my iPhone? Is there a Microsoft player or app that will enable me to access my Microsoft purchased movies on my iPhone? Or will I be limited to watching it ONLY on my XBOX One?

If I'm limited to watching only on my XBOX One, then I won't use my XBOX as media center. I'll just get an Apple TV because I'd like to be able to take my purchased content with me everywhere.  Any help and insight will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, it's not yet possible as there is no Microsoft Movies & TV / Xbox Video app available for iOS or Android devices.

Is there no way to stream through a browser and not the app instead? Or are you going to release the app for ios?

I dont see why you cant let me (or your customers) watch something ive purchased from anywhere. Just because i happen to also have an apple product you are denying me to be able to watch my purchase. I have windows pc, laptop and xbox. But i also use an ipad for traveling because i was given one.

I dont think ill be purchasing any more tv shows from my xbox if this isnt something microsoft are aiming to achieve.

So why no? It's been two years since this post was posted and still nothing has been made to resolve the issue. So my question to you now is

    why not?

If all goes like it did with “Disney Movies Anywhere”, hopefully the newer version of this program “Movies anywhere” will allow most if not all the titles purchased from MS to be transferred to Vudu and iTunes like the Disney titles where.
