I have a media purchasing dilemma. I am trying to decide how I will purchase movies going forward. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, but I love the idea of using my XBOX as a media center. Is it possible to watch movies that I purchase from the Microsoft Store on my XBOX One on my iPhone? Is there a Microsoft player or app that will enable me to access my Microsoft purchased movies on my iPhone? Or will I be limited to watching it ONLY on my XBOX One?
If I'm limited to watching only on my XBOX One, then I won't use my XBOX as media center. I'll just get an Apple TV because I'd like to be able to take my purchased content with me everywhere. Any help and insight will be much appreciated.

2017-05-13T03:46:23+00:00 Well technically you can but it takes a little effort and setup. You can download the teamviewer app on your phone and download the teamviewer program on you PC. Set up teamviewer so you can take remote control with the password entered on your PC and the. You can watch everything on your computer through teamviewer. For better functionality though you can also pirchase the product.

2017-04-13T23:02:28+00:00 Am still keep buy my movies etc or even rent them by Google just becouse Microsoft dosent support Android TV or Android Devices feels relly bad dont have access to what you rent in the devices you want to watch them into, Microsoft for Windows and Xbox is still limit never want to sit up close to my PC for watch my movies etc. And have only 1 Xbox console in the house and that normaly taken by other people in this household. But all my TV is frome Sony Bravida some is build into Android TV as OS.

2017-01-22T04:12:59+00:00 I faced a similiar problem. Amazon video is compatible with most devices. However the amazon app on xbox does not allow you to make purchases or preview new movies. It does allow you to play your purchased movies from Amazon. My work around is to use the microsoft movies and tv to decided what to buy then purchase the movie on the amazon app on my phone and watch it from my video library within the amazon app on xbox one, iphone, android, pc, or fire tablet.
Amazon video app is not available for windows phones....one of the reasons i don't use them anymore. Windows phones, imho, have the best OS but the app gap is just too big.

2016-12-28T00:45:00+00:00 Like so many other inconveniences, Microsoft refuses to play nice with iOS in hopes they can encourage users to switch to the piece of junk Windows Phone platform. The answer is simple: don't give Microsoft your Movies & TV business! Purchase your content from other providers that do recognize the choice of a phone platform shouldn't eliminate our access to content WE PURCHASED.
