Possible to watch movies I purchased on XBOX One on my Apple iPhone?

I have a media purchasing dilemma. I am trying to decide how I will purchase movies going forward.  I have an iPhone 6 Plus, but I love the idea of using my XBOX as a media center.  Is it possible to watch movies that I purchase from the Microsoft Store on my XBOX One on my iPhone? Is there a Microsoft player or app that will enable me to access my Microsoft purchased movies on my iPhone? Or will I be limited to watching it ONLY on my XBOX One?

If I'm limited to watching only on my XBOX One, then I won't use my XBOX as media center. I'll just get an Apple TV because I'd like to be able to take my purchased content with me everywhere.  Any help and insight will be much appreciated.

The best alternative is to get an app from a 3rd party VOD vendor like Vudu that will install on both your iPhone and Xbox and purchase your movie licenses from there.  Unfortunately both Apple and MS have fenced off the use of any media rights you purchase through them to only be used on their devices unlike Google which made apps available on most if not all devices so that you can enjoy your content regardless of what you want to watch or listen to it on.

No you can't. You can only watch itunes movies on Apple products and Windows PCs. You can't watch it on Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, smart TVs, Tivo or Linux. It's better to get your movies from Amazon since it really is multi-platform.

I'm going to go back to itunes to buy movies. There you can view movies on any platform.  Having movies you purchase available to be used on any device would make batter logic. Microsoft loosing a movie customer. Smh...

So, it has been even longer since the last post asking about this.  Any movement on this? Why can i watch movies i purchased on itunes on my pc but i cant watch movies i purchased from microsoft on my iphone or ipad?  Why is there no movies and tv app for ios or android? Is it going to be available soon?  Thank you.
