Possible to watch movies I purchased on XBOX One on my Apple iPhone?

Or you can use your pic to connect to your tv with a normal hdmi cord....

Geez, you think we don't already know that? I don't want a cord strewn across my family room floor for my grandchildren or me or my wife to trip on.

I stumbled on this thread while googling how to fix my problem.  After purchasing a new pc laptop I was given $50 to spend in the microsoft store.  Without thinking I spent it on movies figuring that I would simply add them to my iphone or ipad to watch.  Basically what I've done with movies purchased from other sources.  However I can't import the movies to itunes after downloading.  I'm also unable to play the movies on any apps other than the movies and tv app on the laptop.  I tried opening them in vlc, gom player, you name it.  Then I decided to do what I do with other movies downloaded from outside sources.  I used Replay Converter to try to convert the downloaded purchases so that they would be a recognized format in itunes.  It didn't work.  I'm at a loss and it makes no sense to me why microsoft did this.  I've never run into this issue when purchasing movies from other sources.  Yet friends with Androids are able to watch movies that they purchased on their laptops through itunes.  Isn't that interesting?  Thank goodness I didn't actually use my own money to purchase anything from the microsoft store.  Just a shame that I probably won't get to enjoy these movies.  O_o;

Thanks for posting this. I thought I was the crazy one. I do not have Xbox (any flavor) but I do have Windows laptop and desktop both with Windows 10. I was offered a deal to purchase a 3 movie package for a really good price. Like you, not thinking I went ahead and purchased. I have now found that not only can I not burn and play the movies using a DVD on my TV but I cannot even cast the movies from my laptop or desktop to my Roku 3 or PTV 2000 device. Each time I attempt I get an error messages pertaining to HDCP compliancy (DRM).

Like you, and many others I am so, so disappointed! I had a Microsoft Store employee suggest I should purchase an Xbox 360 just to watch movies purchased from the Microsoft Store. That is ludicrous! I really do not understand why I cannot cast a movie from a Windows computer to a Roku or even a Mira cast compliant device like the PTV 2000. I will never, never buy another entertainment product from Microsoft, not even music. I would think that when I purchase a movie or music even if it is digital that it is like purchasing the DVD or CD and I should have the right to watch it or listen to it on any device I choose. The restriction here seem to me to be illegal and unconstitutional. I wonder if there are any class action lawsuits concerning this extremely unfair and unethical business practice?

Agreed. I've taken my purchases elsewhere even though I have an Xbox One as the central hub in the living room.

I'm not sure what you're doing, but I just tried this on Safari and Chrome on my iPhone and they both gave a warning to use a different device.  I was able to play trailers, but not the actual tv show videos.
