Have been using this program for months now on windows 10 32 bit, and I get an email saying that MS are making changes to Outlook servers and to patch WLM 2012 and a download link.
I applied the patch and now after a few seconds of being open WLM 2012 crashes while updating the calendar.
Anyone know a fix for this? I have taken the patch off by repairing Windows essentials 2012 from the Programs and features dialog, but anyone know why this patch causes WLM to crash after a few seconds?

Windows Live Mail is a much, much better email client that the one MAIL that comes with Windows 10
I wish and suggest that Microsoft do not sabotage windows live 2012 as they did with 2011.
Why not kill windows 10 MAIL and replace it with Windows live Mail 2012 essentials MICROSOFT?
Not everything that is new is necessarily better!

In my opinion, Windows 10 Mail is not meant to be a desktop PC application. It is designed for smart-phones.
I'm guessing that Microsoft is thinking that Outlook will be the only Microsoft desktop-PC email application delivered by Microsoft. I think Microsoft does not want to continue supporting 2 desktop PC email applications because it is too expensive.
Also, understand that Live Mail and Outlook are office-productivity applications that support email, calendar, contacts and other functionality beyond basic email.
It's somewhat disappointing to see Live Mail go away because it was one of Microsoft's best designed applications. It was much, much better that Gmail. Outlook is an excellent product - but, it is not free.
I use Outlook only for work. I do not use it for personal emails. I have always found the Live Essentials 2011 and now 2012 a great email client. It will be a GREAT PITY if Microsoft decides to discontinue now the only active Live Email 2012 programme. I do not like using on-line email clients - or Web-based ones.
Well, after reading this articleI think that they have permanently cancelled the update. I hope I'm wrong.
Don't know about anyone else but I'm still using windows live mail - no updates - no problems - long may it last.
