Update for Windows Live Essentials Mail 2012 (KB3093594) kills WLM 2012

Have been using this program for months now on windows 10 32 bit, and I get an email saying that MS are making changes to Outlook servers and to patch WLM 2012 and a download link.

I applied the patch and now after a few seconds of being open WLM 2012 crashes while updating the calendar.

Anyone know a fix for this? I have taken the patch off by repairing Windows essentials 2012 from the Programs and features dialog, but anyone know why this patch causes WLM to crash after a few seconds?

I have applied patch KB3093594 to my Windows 7 Ultimate Mail Essentials, bringing it to build 16.4.3563.0918. I have had no problems, except that Checking Mail now takes 1 minute where it used to take about 10 seconds. This happens at startup and when I select Send/Receive.

No one seems to have reported this problem yet  -  they all had worse problems. I hope my problem also gets resolved when this mess is sorted, without me being forced to move to a later release. I have run a WLM repair but it made no difference. I gather the patch to the patch only applies to Windows 10.

Despite the file details in the KB article, the re-issued patch...updates Windows Live Mail 2012 and its program files to version 16.4.3564.0916

What are the Created and Modified dates of WLMAIL.EXE v16.4.3564.0916 [or possibly v16.4.3564.1216], Noel?

Sorry, it appears that this sent box issue had started happening before I applied the patch, so it hopefully it is a temporary server issue

The updated patch still has the issue that Sent emails show From address instead of To address

After the updated patch is applied, sent emails don't appear in the Sent box.
