I agree. Outlook sent an email advising me I need to install a Microsoft patch, to make a Microsoft programme compatible with another Microsoft programme. MS want us to all go over to Windows 10... so what do they do??Yes you got it... they create an update that is not compatible with Windows 10!
I checked their knowledge base today, and I see they have already amended this patch. BUT they still haven't made it compatible with Windows 10....
Known issues about this update
- Issue 1: After you install this update (that was released before December 17, 2015), you may find that the program crashes soon after start.
Solution: Microsoft has identified the cause and has released a fix that addresses the issue for affected users on applicable platforms. To fix this issue, install this update that's released on December 17, 2015.
- Issue 2: After you install this update that's released on December 17, 2015, you may experience mail sync issues.
This issue occurs because of a server-side problem. Microsoft is researching this issue and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.
Luckily for me, my Outlook.com email service hasn't yet been upgraded. So I don't have to install this patch yet.
I hope that by then, there will be a patch available that is suitable for us Windows 10 users.. Talk about a mess!!
