Disabling Windows Compatability Telemetry

Does anybody know how to stop the Windows Compatability Telemetry (CompatTelRunner.exe) from starting? It causes extremely high disk usage which results in large performance issues.

    As per the description, I understand that you are facing some issues with Windows.

    I would suggest you to uninstall Windows update KB number 2976978 from the Windows updates and check if that helps.

    I would suggest you to hide the update if you does not want to install.
