This is the only one that causes me problems and I find it easy enough to disable when an update enables it again. As this is a component of MS Office, my only other suggestion would be to uninstall MS Office and go open source with LibreOffice or GoogleDocs.
No, Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry (CompatTelRunner.exe) is not a component of MS Office, it is of Windows itself. And no matter what you install, be it some Win update stuff or some other program install/update, the Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry task is triggered again. And no matter what you disable in task scheduler, something sneaky is able to invoke damned thing again. This is purely OS-level stuff and so far there is no solutions, except to create task, which checks periodically whether CompatTelRunner.exe runs, an if if does, kills it immediately.
