Disabling Windows Compatability Telemetry

Does anybody know how to stop the Windows Compatability Telemetry (CompatTelRunner.exe) from starting? It causes extremely high disk usage which results in large performance issues.

    I did a clean install and it still is happening.  This happens on every PC I own, my family owns, my friends own and systems at work it isn't just one system.  Most people who don't notice this behavior are using SSD's (it runs quicker), have nothing else installed on their PC/laptop (very little to scan), or they leave their system up 24/7 (it runs in the middle of the night instead of when you turn your system on).

    It works just fine on millions of computers. What you need to figure out is why your particular setup is causing issues.

    Start with a clean install and don't add anything and see how it goes. If still issues then it may be something hardware related.

    It's completely amature programming by Microsoft.  They must test this on a bare bones system.  Works so ship it.  Well it doesn't work on machines that are actually used for something.

    Windows started running by itself, his own set of software at full computer resources

    When do we work ? On what O.S. can we work ?

    How can we stop this ? 

    No matter how much money we pay on super computers and RAM, Microsoft can fill all with own tasks

    Hi guys.

    I also tried out this solution some month ago but it seems to not work definitively.

    For a unknown reason, the mentioned task backs to "Enable" again after a period.

    I'm not able to understand the process that controls and restarts the task: may be Windows Update, may be another watchdog service.
