Disabling Windows Compatability Telemetry

Actually I considered this. Everything I use my PC for now I could do on Linux.  Actually my phone and tablets can do everything most of what I want except 1 thing, a very important thing.  PC gaming.  Almost all of the PC games worth playing are for Windows only. I'm considering now moving to a console system now for that, and it will not be Xbox!

Reïnstalling windows 10 won't help.

The fact is that Microsoft created Windows 10 and actually Windows 10 works quite well. Then, they decide to add some crapware programs to their OS. Everyone complains about this, but Microsoft thinks they are sooo awesome and big and great that everyone will just keep using windows 10.

Next they notice that users disable their crappy processes and they do anything to still enable their processes. Renaming Windows-services, altering services through updates, ... They won't stop until they get what they want.

Did you notice: nearly nobody from Microsoft replied to this thread. This proves that Microsoft (especially the Windows-team) is a negligent, uncaring, ignorant team.

Off course you can't propagate this ignorant behavior through the whole Microsoft company, since they also developed Visual Studio, which behaves in a complete opposite way vs Windows 10. But there must be a bunch of crappy developers inside the Windows team, and a team-leadership that doesn't care about performance of their products. If small-to-medium companies would have developers who write crappy software, either:

1. The developer gets fired
2. The teamleader is found unable to do his job and ... gets fired
3. The boss ignores the problems inside his company and ... his company needs to quit

Since Microsoft has reached a level of sanctity, they don't have to listen to their customers, hmm -_- .

I would recommend: if you really, with all of your heart, want Microsoft to listen to you, there's a short 5-step program:

1. Backup your files
2. Wipe your entire drive
3. Install a Linux-based OS on your drive (like ubuntu or mac or whatever)
4. Put your files back on the drive
5. Stay as far away as possible from anything related to Microsoft

There's no need to still use Windows these days. Anything you can imagine is available in the Linux-repositories, like OpenOffice.org etc.

I did three clean installs and it still happens on my PC.  I downloaded and installed Process Blocker from processblocker.com.  It works great, until a Windows Update installs a new version.  Then you'll need to reset it.

I believe most people experience this issue, they may not even know it.  One or more of the following is probably true for them:

1. Leave their PC up 24/7, so it may be doing this scan when they aren't using it
2. They have SSD's, so it's scanning quicker
3. They have a newer motherboard, which had built in cryptology in the CPU (so it does decryption of packed files more efficiently)
4. They have little on their PC to scan.

For those of you who, think you don't have the issue do the following:

1. turn Your PC off
2. wait 24 hours
3. turn it on
4. try using it right away (look at performance monitor)

"It works just fine on millions of computers" - Are you really sure about this statement?

"Start with a clean install.." - This is Microsoft's way to solve software troubles. The fact is that the poor users around the world are not computer engineers and think this may be the solution. Only after days and days spent on a simple clean install, they realize the problem is still there. Just wait until they install all the software they had prior the clean install and the hundreds of Windows updates and see. 

In the Windows' world, the way to solve problems like this is to buy a new machine. These poor users think a computer gets slow because it's 3 years old and then buy a new one. That's fantastic!
