can anyone help, I can't open .exe files, I have windows 10

    it is a new computer and It just gives me options for opening the .exe file like paint etc

    Yeah...same issue here after a recent Windows 10 update. 

    Of all the silly things to break, why break standard behaviour of executable files?

    Hello AuxFour,

    Thank you for your clear answer.

    I am having trouble running "exe" file too, so I cannot open "Regedit.exe" to proceed to your instructions.

    The message is the following:" Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\regedit.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
