Lumia 950XL 5ghz Wifi issue

So I have found when using my 5Ghz N network the phone will lose all WiFi networking.   On first use, it will connect up OK.  But let it sit and come back to it, it will have lost the WiFi network and the ability to see any other WiFi network with "no networks found".  Only a phone reboot will fix it until it happens again.

So far I've experienced it on my Linksys E8350 (supposed AC2400 and MIMO which the 950XL claims to support).  My Wifi router is set for Wireless A or N on 5Ghz, while it can do N, B, or G on 2.4

My workaround is to  only connect to the 2.4Ghz WiFi at this point. 

Anyone else experiencing complete WiFi radio failure like this?

    Your router (or something else) might kill the 5 GHz unit in your Lumia and therefore, you do not see anything on 5 GHz anymore. Obviously, this is a bug in Lumia because nothing external should change your phone. Nevertheless, to reproduce this issue, as many information as possible are required. One puzzle piece might be your Wi-Fi access point.

    Thats interesting that your WiFi can only be reset by a factory reset,all i have to do is reboot my phone , still having the issue even though i have the latest firmware and 10586.107. I have even flashed my phone with the windows device recovery tool and set my router to N only. Still nothing. I might have to call this one as hardware and go into the MS Store.

    I'm in the Insiders program and have had this problem since purchasing the 950 XL. No firmware updates have changed my inability to connect to 5Ghz WiFi signals. I have factory reset the phone several times. After which, the 5Ghz network is visible for only a few hours before diapering altogether until another factory reset. Some seem to think it is related to our routers. However, I cannot see any of my neighbors' 5Ghz WiFi signals, only their 2.4Ghz.

    At this point, the only conclusion I can draw;  this is a hardware issue and not a firmware bug. Surely my 10 adjacent neighbors cannot all be using the exact same router. As such, it seems I/we should be covered under Microsoft's equipment defect warranty for a direct phone replacement. Otherwise, I would think more 950/950XL users with WiFi issues would have Surfaced.

    Lumia 950XL was running slow on WIFI when compared to my other devices. Strangely once the blue tooth was turned on performance improved dramatically. Happy with my phone now!

    Oops, found a change log online and it looks like it's for phone network services and not for wifi. Still having disconnect problems with 802.11ac, so confirmed that this update does not fix the issue.
