Quiet Hours in Windows 10 Mobile

I recently upgraded my phone from the Nokia Lumia 1020 to the Nokia Lumia 950.  It came preloaded with Windows 10 Mobile.  While I am still learning to navigate the operating system on the phone, although it seems easy since I run Windows 10 on my PC, I am having difficulty with using the Quiet Hours function.  Using Windows 8.1 on my old phone allowed me to set up Cortana to block all calls during times when my calendar had been marked as busy.  This was great as I would just put my classes into my schedule and my students never heard my phone unless it was an emergency.  However, now it seems that the only way to set up Quiet Hours is to manually tell the phone to turn on the QH function or set it up for specific times regardless of my schedule.  It seems funny that this function went backwards when everything else went forward.  Is there any way to do it like I did before?

I appreciate your patience in this regard.

Quiet hours will turn on automatically at the times you've set. But you can still turn it on manually. When you go to Quiet hours setting it will give many flexible options that allows you to customize Quiet hours accordingly. Sat for example, you can set date on which the phone should enable the quite hours along with Start and End time. Basis to which Quiet hours will turn on automatically.

It also allows you to Edit break-through list. Where you can allow the emergency calls from desired contacts. Moreover Cortana will also send text to contacts who aren't allowed through, saying that I'm busy at the moment.

With regard to the desired task or event sync from the Calendar app, I suggest you to post your feedback using Windows feedback app, which will helps us to look into this with future updates. This will helps us to improve your experience.

    Dear Yashwanth Kotakuri and other Microsoft employees,

    Please stop demeaning your loyal customers with these canned and less than straight forward answers. The OP asked about a feature which has been removed by Microsoft as of Windows 10 mobile. He isn't suggesting a new feature. He is asking what happened to the feature many of us loved which has been inexplicably removed: quiet hours automatically activating during "busy" events on selected calendars. Can you please tell us 1) why it has been removed and 2) will it be coming back?

    There isn't much that you need to look into. Just restore that basic function. Most of us, if not all, use our devices for business purposes. Self-employed, executives, teachers, etc. get in-and-out of meetings several times in a day. It is easy to forget to switch to quiet-hours before stepping into a meeting. It is even easier to forget switching it off, getting out of meetings. This basic feature is available event in my old school Blackberry device.

    Microsoft encouraged us to upgrade to Windows 10, which is nice of them, but they shouldn't let us down by removing productivity features like the one in question. I am not sure how much more feedback you are waiting for. The internet is full of complains about this particular issue, but no indications from Microsoft if they heard us and are doing something along the lines of restoring this missing feature soon. Quite frankly, if this is not resolved soon, I am going to abandon my device and move on.

    Quiet hours is enabled in Cortana's notebook.

    you can set times and breakthrough list there.

    Sometimes I am wondering if people really understand the problem of this thread. We all know how to set quiet hours, we are simply missing the feature to set quiet hours automatically when a calendar entry is marked as busy, like it was on window phone 8.1.
