Quiet Hours in Windows 10 Mobile

Thanks for responding, Stewart. You are spot on. Hesitantly. I have meanwhile moved on and switched to Android. I set up a patchwork there that gives me the feature abandoned by MS. I linked my cloud-based Outlook calendar to a Blackberry calendar app which works on Android, and somehow my phone turns in-out of meeting mode every time I label a calendar event as busy. This works whether I initiate the event in the Blackberry app or in Outlook. They all seem to sync nicely - touch wood. I am tired of chasing MS for features. My conclusion is they don't care. They are making their money in other markets and pursuing grander dreams.

People responding to your post seem to overlook or ignore the specific problem, actually a removed feature, you are referring to.  I don't understand why.  I too found this feature invaluable.  When I scheduled an appointment as "busy", it would automatically turn on "quiet hours" to prevent interruptions from ringing incoming calls.  THIS WAS GREAT!  

The only reason I can imagine Microsoft removed this feature was because if you chose this option, it applied to all appointments designated "busy".  The way I got around this was to designate an appointment "out of office".  However, this is not really a satisfactory solution if I'm not really out of the office.

Microsoft could have easily remedied this by having a quiet hour option for each individual appointment.  For example, when I am at a doctor's appointment, I am out of the office.  However, they want the ringer off so this would have been a great option.  At other times I am involved in something marked "busy".  However, sometimes I want important phone calls to ring through even though I would like others on my team to see that I am "busy" and do not want to have someone knock on my door.

Microsoft probably thought you could just turn it on and of manually when needed especially since it is so easy to get to the setting now that it is in the pull down options.  HOWEVER, IT IS SO EASY TO FORGET TO TURN QUIET HOURS OFF AFTER AN APPOINTMENT AND THERE BY MISS AN IMPORTANT CALL.

Also, a Microsoft employee responded that this problem should have be submitted to suggestions.  Really, how hard is for the Microsoft to provide its employees with a button that would forward the best forum suggestions to the suggestion site.  What if the poster does not.  Microsoft should do it anyway if they think the problem or suggestion has merit.

O frabjous day!! (Apologies to Lewis Carrol).  The latest update to W10 (effective early May 2017) seems to have finally fixed the issue of loosing the breakthrough list, at least for my Lumia 650. The list has stayed visible for more than a week now which surpasses the best pervious of 2 days.  Thank you so much, Microsoft, for fixing it at last.

I have the Microsoft Lumia 650 and the Quiet Hours setting works by setting times and days you want your phone to remain silence. It works great, to open it just open Cortana by selecting the magnifier glass icon on the lower right, then open the 3-bar icon on the upper left, select Notebook then Quiet Hours. I do have the following settings on:

I am referring to yashwant's comment that he is able to set quiet hours on specific DATES. I can very well see options for the days of the week bit no date option. So either wp10 on his phone is different from mine or he is confused about the difference between dates and days of the week.

Ginopalomo has included a screenshot which looks pretty much like mine but there is no date option. Somebody please clarify. It would be great if yashwant can give me specific directions to get to the DATE option.
