Location is greyed out, i cannot remove internet explorer 11 addon after virus removal

BHOs are more complex than search providers such as Google. I don't have one installed to inspect. I've asked the moderator for an opinion on 4 free BHO removers. I think one of them should be tried.

In the meantime...

(1) Open Explorer to C:.

(2) Type or paste "TSWebMon64.dat" into the search box.

(3) Go back to C:, & type "npQQPhoneManagerExt.dll" into the search box.

(4) Go back to C:, & type "Tencent" into the search box.

Are any found? Then, Defender & Malwarebytes may have extracted the virus, but they left a lot of junk behind. Post pictures. Here is how to look in the registry...

(1) R-Clk START, & select "Run".

(2) Type "RegEdit" into the box, & hit ENTER.

If you are not at the top (where it says "Computer"),

click into the left pane & press the "Home" button on the keyboard.

You need to be at the top for the start of each search...

(3) Click the "Edit" menu, & select "Find".

(4) Type or paste a Class ID into the search box, and hit ENTER.

     F3 will find the next occurrence (but you may need to hold the "FN" key as well).

(5) Do a search for the file associated with that Class ID & the folder "Tencent" as well.

(6) Do the same for the other Class ID - or - perhaps its best to do one BHO at a time, if there are a lot of hits.

Post pictures of the left & right panes. Don't delete anything yet. I'm really hoping one of those BHO removers will do all the work for us.

Steve, what do you (or anyone else here half as trustworthy, such as PA Bear) know of the BHO removers at this site, of the site itself, & of the Ads at the site...?...

SpyBHORemover is described as Ad-supported. Is it possible to bypass that "feature" during install/use?

OK. I'll get back to this. If it is an admin account, you surely should have access to that button. I'll have to do some research, maybe "telemetry" comes into play. If someone pops in with a quick, surefire cure (while I'm busy with the BHOs) - I certainly wouldn't complain.

I'm working on a post to deal with the BHOs. Good to see you can make pictures!

To do these things, it may be best for you to have the Snipping Tool (to post pictures), so I can judge whether it will be as simple dealing with the virus bits.

To get the Snipping Tool...

(1) Click START, All Apps, Windows Accessories.

(2) R-Clk the Snipping Tool, & select Pin To Taskbar.

     It will appear in the Taskbar as a scissors icon.

To save a snip...

(1) Click the Snipping Tool in the Taskbar, then its New button.

(2) Outline the portion of the screen you wish to snip.

(3) Click the Disk icon to save the snip.

     It will save to "Capture.PNG".

To post the snip...

(1) Click the Insert Image icon above your post...

(2) Click the Browse button, then select "Capture.PNG".

(3) Finally, click the Upload button.

     It will appear in the post.

I read through it but unfortunately nothing happened since Location is greyed out even in Start-Settings-Location-Turn On and Off is greyed out... No Microsoft Fix It for this also.
