Printing only highlighted selection Windows10 Edge

To print the selection you want to in Windows 10

Highlight the, item, words etc., you want to print, then Copy and Paste the Highlighted area into an New Email , Send the Email to yourself, then print the email.

Not Helpful. What is the work around?

Actually, this is not helpful in the least. As many people have stated, this is a very necessary function for numerous reasons. Why is it that Microsoft would take a step back in the technology world instead of moving forward? This is extremely disappointing and I sincerely hope Microsoft is in the process of putting in a fix.

Why is print selection not available ? .it is one of the essentials for productivity in most offices.

This is such a minor programming script I can only believe that Microsoft have not included it because it causes problems with their information gathering.

A shame because EDGE is a good explorer

I use the print selection feature almost on a daily basis.  Not only does Microsoft Edge not have this feature, but it seems that Microsoft has no intention of adding it. It's extremely disappointing that I will have no other choice but to use Chrome for all of my browsing needs.

Although edge has many good print features PRINTING SELECTED TEXT IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

Apart from copying and pasting into a office document the only work around I have found is as follows.

In Edge go to

MORE OPTIONS ( 3 Dots on right of menu bar]/ scroll down and OPEN With Internet Explorer. [Ensure Menu Bar is Activated by Right Clicking at top and click menu]

Do your search and select required text.

Top left of menu bar of internet explorer File /Scroll down to Print.

The Option to click  print Selection is there.

Thank you for your reply.  copying and pasting has been discussed on this thread.  Yes you can copy to an email, you can copy to word, you can open windows explorer and print a highlighted selection from any of them but that all takes time.  Wasted time kills productivity and in business time is money.  Businesses are willing to pay for expensive upgrades to their systems to save time and then Microsoft is unwilling to copy code that is already written and working on Internet explorer to Edge.

IE runs much slower on windows 10 than it did on 7.

I now use Firefox and Chrome instead of IE or Edge.
