Hello MSN Money Portfolio Manager users,
You may have noticed the alert on the old PM page saying that it will be shut down on Dec 22. We are aware that the page was down for several days and users were unable to access their data but the page has been reinstated and users should be able to access their portfolios again. Users should try to migrate their data to the new MSN Money Portfolio/Watchlist before the above date to avoid losing data. Please follow the steps located under How do I import my old lists?
NOTE: You can only import into a Watchlist that has fewer than 250 items. Attempts to re-import lists with more than 250 items will fail. You may want to shrink the size of your existing Watchlist or import into a newly created Watchlist.
If you recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and did not receive all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data, please follow the steps on this article.
If you do not wish to migrate to the new Money Watchlist/Portfolio, you may export your data into an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on Print Portfolio. A table of the data is displayed, select the table (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and then paste it (CTRL+V) into Excel.

I have had the same problems as noted above over and over and over again and now the OLD usable Portfolio Manager is not available!!! What can you do to rectify this miserable situation so that I will be able to actually transfer the data easily!! It appears if there are MANY people who have had similar problems and yet you shut down the old system without fixing the system so it would actually work to transfer data!
I have only been able to access Watch List on one occasion for about 30 seconds before being dropped out. I get the same result using 2 different PCs one with windows 8 and the other with Vista.
I repeatedly get the message

The best alternative I've found is Google's portfolio manager which has almost all the data that portfolio manager had but displays it on 3 screens.

Help me please. I tried import, plus all the advice on what to do when that invariably fails. Then tried new user name; didn't work. I am ready to accept absolute defeat in terms of saving my data. Now could I possibly just get the flippin page to come up as new and let me spend countless hours trying to input manually to a program I don't like? is there a reboot or some way to simply turn off the migrate function and start over, or do all people, even newborns, have to migrate?
