Hello MSN Money Portfolio Manager users,

You may have noticed the alert on the old PM page saying that it will be shut down on Dec 22. We are aware that the page was down for several days and users were unable to access their data but the page has been reinstated and users should be able to access their portfolios again. Users should try to migrate their data to the new MSN Money Portfolio/Watchlist before the above date to avoid losing data. Please follow the steps located under How do I import my old lists?

NOTE: You can only import into a Watchlist that has fewer than 250 items. Attempts to re-import lists with more than 250 items will fail. You may want to shrink the size of your existing Watchlist or import into a newly created Watchlist.

If you recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and did not receive all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data, please follow the steps on this article.

If you do not wish to migrate to the new Money Watchlist/Portfolio, you may export your data into an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on Print Portfolio. A table of the data is displayed, select the table (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and then paste it (CTRL+V) into Excel.

Thank you,

Adriana

Agree.  This new site just does not work well. Please do not shut down the old Portfolio Manager.

How do you delete a watch list?  How do you change the order of the  watch list? The site is volatile &

does not work well.  I am disappointed.  BK

I tried all weekend to retrieve my "classic" stock data but your system was still down. Is this gone for good and I now need to spend hours re-creating it? If so, I will obviously not do it again on any Microsoft related platform!

Perhaps it's connected with the shut-down BUT NOW, ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER SCREW-UPS WITH THIS "NEW IMPROVED" MONEY SYSTEM, three quarters of my portfolio had disappeared! WHY?

I can only view the "A" through "E" entries; the rest of the portfolio is unavailable!

This revamp has been a disaster from the start. It wasn't broken but MSN was damned determined to "fix-it " regardless and it has been screwed up ever since it started.

WHEN are the "Add" Reorder" functions going to be fixed so that when a new item is added you don't have to move it A LINE AT A TIME to it's proper alphabetical location in the listing? Why doesn't it place it in it's proper alphabetical placement AUTOMATICALLY?

    Hi Adriana,

I know it's been overwhelming, but thank you for all your help! I've tried to import, then re-import my accounts lists for the past two days, but continue to get failed migrations.

Following the step by step instructions provided at Migrating your Watchlist (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/3004532/en-us), I attempted to migrate my portfolio data over to the new platform two days ago, and pleasantly found that unlike previous attempts last week when the PM was down, all my portfolio data appeared as being eligible for transfer**.**It seemed to initiate the migration process, but then suddenly the following error message appeared:

    Whoops!

We can't show you this right now. We'll get it fixed soon.

Attempts to refresh the page and try again did not work. The same error as above appears not only after refreshing the page, but in trying to use a separate window to visit my Watchlist page at: http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist. I can't therefor, see what may or may not have migrated to the new platform.

My only recourse was to retry the import/migration. Efforts to retry the migration (http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist/migrationsupport) were initially met with the following error next to each account/list that I had selected to transfer over:

! Watchlist with this name already exists. Select a new name.

As previously explained, I couldn't/can't access the new platform at: http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist in order to delete the watchlists with the same names from my previous migration attempt. When I do, I keep getting the following error when trying to visit that page:

    Whoops!

We can't show you this right now. We'll get it fixed soon.

Signing in and out and opening in different browsers didn't seem to help.

In an attempt to workaround the issue (as brilliantly suggested by MorningSleeper)  I tried re-importing the lists/accounts by changing their names when prompted in "Retry Import" (http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist/migrationsupport). Doing so removed the "! Watchlist with this name already exists. Select a new name." error I was getting before. I selected the 10 or so accounts I wished to transfer over to the new platform (all of which had/have less than 250 entries/positions) and clicked "Continue" at the bottom left of the Migration page. It seemed to be migrating- for a full 10 minutes I watched as the Migrating! pop-up screen and circling dots continually refreshed, but then this error came up:

Our services aren't available right now

We're working to restore all services as soon as possible. Please check back soon.

    Ref A: 3DFEA23040E2489986518E9FAE5DF500 Ref B: FC6EB09DBF12D7CCDD903BBD12D0879A Ref C: Sun Dec 21 20:51:19 2014 PST

Subsequent attempts (each time renaming the lists/accounts before clicking to import) failed as well.

The error messages with these subsequent attempts were of the, "Whoops! We Can't show you this right now. We'll get it fixed soon." variety.

I then attempted to select only my most important accounts/lists (leaving 4 or 5 lists/accounts previously checked, deselected this time) and then clicked "Continue". As with past attempts, the "Migrating!" window pops up and the circular dots continually spin while the window refreshes every couple of seconds, leaving me to believe that the accounts are indeed migrating over. After 5-10 minutes of this, I'm met with an error. I even tried to just migrate one small account. I selected only 1 folder (with just 40 stock entries in it) renamed it and left all other accounts/lists unchecked and clicked "Continue" to initiate the migration, but it failed...

I keep getting the following error:

    Whoops!

We can't show you this right now. We'll get it fixed soon.

And as I mentioned at the outset of this note, when I try to access the new Watchlist platform at http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist I get the following error:

    Whoops!

We can't show you this right now. We'll get it fixed soon.

I have no idea what transferred, if anything and at last look, the old Portfolio Manager is no longer accessible. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you

    Hi Adriana,

I am just looking at your post.

How can I import my watchlist? I have too much information which I cannot afford to lose.

When I log in I do not get the option to import!!!
