Hello MSN Money Portfolio Manager users,

You may have noticed the alert on the old PM page saying that it will be shut down on Dec 22. We are aware that the page was down for several days and users were unable to access their data but the page has been reinstated and users should be able to access their portfolios again. Users should try to migrate their data to the new MSN Money Portfolio/Watchlist before the above date to avoid losing data. Please follow the steps located under How do I import my old lists?

NOTE: You can only import into a Watchlist that has fewer than 250 items. Attempts to re-import lists with more than 250 items will fail. You may want to shrink the size of your existing Watchlist or import into a newly created Watchlist.

If you recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and did not receive all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data, please follow the steps on this article.

If you do not wish to migrate to the new Money Watchlist/Portfolio, you may export your data into an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on Print Portfolio. A table of the data is displayed, select the table (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and then paste it (CTRL+V) into Excel.

Thank you,

Adriana

    Hi Adriana,

Thanks for your help.I'm getting an error message when trying to migrate my portfolio data to the new platform. On Friday (12-19-14) I was finally able to access the PM after  week of not being able to do so. I was able to make a backup of my positions using the Print Portfolio tab at the top, but that method does not provide transaction data (buys, sells, dividends, reinvestments, etc) (as others have pointed out) so I took the past two days to copy all that info down by hand. I was able to do so. Following the Migrating your Watchlist instructions (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/3004532/en-us) I attempted to migrate my portfolio data over to the new platform today, and pleasantly found that unlike my previous attempts, all my portfolio data appeared as being eligible for transfer**. It seemed to start the migration process and then suddenly the following appeared:**

    Whoops!

We can't show you this right now. We'll get it fixed soon.

Attempts to refresh the page and try again do not work. The same error as above appears not only after after refreshing the page, but using a separate window to visit my Watchlist page at: http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist.

When I try to Retry the migration (http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist/migrationsupport)  I get the following error next to each portfolio I have checked to transfer over:

! Watchlist with this name already exists. Select a new name.

**I can't access the new platform at:**http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/watchlist in order to delete the watchlists with the same names from my previous migration attempt, because, as I mentioned previously, I keep getting the following error when trying to visit that page:

    Whoops!

We can't show you this right now. We'll get it fixed soon.

Signing in and out and opening in different browsers doesn't seem to help. What am I supposed to do? Thank you.

    Hi Adriana,

I there anyway to export all of our transaction records into a .cvs file? I literally have hundreds of entries going back to 1999. This would take an enormous amount of time to copy by hand and it would be prone to errors. Can you help?

Please bring back the old MSN Portfolio Manager.  I have over a decade of data that I do not want to loose.  The new Watchlist is terrible and is no good.

How can I get my historical data saved as it doesn't migrate over.  I want to download into a CSV file or something. I tried 4 times but I still have no transaction data.  Pls help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree.  I would be happy to pay for the old Portfolio Manager.  Not happy at all with new

    Watchlist.  BK

I was able to migrate after doing a "retry-import"; but the sold stocks item weren't all properly migrated: even for a watchlist with less than 10 items.

Besides; the "Portfolio Holdings" and the "Summary" displays truncated at times; showing as little as 3 columns of information.

The product is not fully debugged or fully developed; and the old MSN Portfolios should not be shutdown so soon (just one more day left: 12-22-1974).

I pledge to Microsoft to postpone the shutdown date.
