Hello MSN Money Portfolio Manager users,

You may have noticed the alert on the old PM page saying that it will be shut down on Dec 22. We are aware that the page was down for several days and users were unable to access their data but the page has been reinstated and users should be able to access their portfolios again. Users should try to migrate their data to the new MSN Money Portfolio/Watchlist before the above date to avoid losing data. Please follow the steps located under How do I import my old lists?

NOTE: You can only import into a Watchlist that has fewer than 250 items. Attempts to re-import lists with more than 250 items will fail. You may want to shrink the size of your existing Watchlist or import into a newly created Watchlist.

If you recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and did not receive all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data, please follow the steps on this article.

If you do not wish to migrate to the new Money Watchlist/Portfolio, you may export your data into an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on Print Portfolio. A table of the data is displayed, select the table (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and then paste it (CTRL+V) into Excel.

Thank you,

Adriana

I can not import my portfolio and can't even get started.  I'm told I'm signed in.  In the instructions it says go to "MSN.com" and then click "watchlist"  When I click on I get to MSN Money but "watchlist" is not listed on the top as it shows in the instructions.  I have been trying for days.  What can I do?

Adriana, I remember I felt the same way with the demise of Windows Live and OneCare both were much loved by users and both were taken from us by the decision makers at Microsoft.

Alas, times change and we have to change with them or else stagnate and, eventually, die.

This isn't about stagnating - it's about not sliding way backwards!

OK I have taken a look at all the features here. What is it you don't have that you used to did?  (You'll have to zoom in to see the photo...sorry).

    Adrianna,

Thank you for trying to help us.

You are the first person from Microsoft who has told us anything other than see this link (which does not work) or call this phone number(which was in my case "this number is for billing purposes only").

The "Product Team" is obviously not able or willing to communicate that there is a problem and assure us that they will not just delete our years of effort on December 22.

We understand new rollouts are complicated. We can demonstrate remarkable patience if treated in a professional informed way. Please transmit our concerns to your management or the "Product Team".

    Thank you,

    Bill B.

To the Microsoft Product Team and/or Responsible Manager:

If you haven't already done so, I sincerely urge you to review the hundreds of user posts in this and the related threads.  As you'll see, Microsoft has created an enormous amount of goodwill among a large group of (dare I say) intelligent and loyal users with the excellent and unrivaled Portfolio Manager (PM) product.  This same group of loyal users is quickly souring on their relationship with Microsoft because of the arbitrary, sudden, and unwelcome change (i.e. diminution) in the product that we have learned to love and rely on.

I would implore you to either (1) continue to support PM, even if for a fee [I would gladly pay a substantial annual fee for this service, and I'm sure that I'm not alone in this], or, at least (2) postpone the day of execution for at least a few weeks, so that Microsoft can work out the bugs in the transition process and so that the users can retain access to a full year of 2014 transactions on PM for tax purposes.

Adriana has been friendly and supportive, but alas, she's told us that she doesn't have the authority to do anything other than report the issues to her higher-ups.  Now that the higher-ups are in the conversation, PLEASE, PLEASE do (1) or (2) above, or at least give us the courtesy of a reasoned explanation of why you can't/won't do so.

Thank you for listening.  Thank you in advance for your thoughtful response.  Respectfully, ibiwisi
