Hello MSN Money Portfolio Manager users,

You may have noticed the alert on the old PM page saying that it will be shut down on Dec 22. We are aware that the page was down for several days and users were unable to access their data but the page has been reinstated and users should be able to access their portfolios again. Users should try to migrate their data to the new MSN Money Portfolio/Watchlist before the above date to avoid losing data. Please follow the steps located under How do I import my old lists?

NOTE: You can only import into a Watchlist that has fewer than 250 items. Attempts to re-import lists with more than 250 items will fail. You may want to shrink the size of your existing Watchlist or import into a newly created Watchlist. 

If you recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and did not receive all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data, please follow the steps on this article.

If you do not wish to migrate to the new Money Watchlist/Portfolio, you may export your data into an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on Print Portfolio. A table of the data is displayed, select the table (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and then paste it (CTRL+V) into Excel.

    I concur with all of the comments.  It is too bad this service had to be shut down.  It worked well for many years.  I would also pay a nominal fee to use it.  I bet Microsoft could monetize it.  I concur that the new watchlist is clunky and does not allow for accurate share balances.  I also could not import the moneycentral/portfolio balances.  I tried to find the import option.  I could only find the "Retry" option, but it didn't work.  I am logged in, blah blah.  Just a shame.  I tried for several days to import.  Time wasted.

    I will now look for other methods to track my portfolio positions.  I also have to comment that this watchlist and several Win8 functions act in a similar fashion.  Microsoft is going backwards in the user experience.  It's a shame.  I have always thought highly of Microsoft.  I am always frustrated with the built in "features" within Win8 that hog the processor.  Things like the PDF viewer to anything online that somehow gets sucked into the Win8 format and hangs.  I just want to go out to the Internet and see what I see.  I don't need it formatted in some magazine or content distribution.  Maybe I am the minority here, but this is just another example.  Better wake up.  Sad.

    It would be nice to know if there is an answer on actually being able to migrate our data

    What do we do if we can't download our holdings that were on MSN Portfolio??

    I could not sign-in to my watch list using IE11, but by the time I loaded Chrome and signed in, Portfolio was taken down, so when I finally got to the point where I could import my data, nothing migrated-again, followed the ditections at least 5 times-and got bupgus-thanks MSN

    Am I just plain out of luck??

    I contacted support that said they had to give me a phone # that ended up hanging up before I could talk to someone. 3-4 tries.

    PLEASE RESTORE CLASSIC PORTFOLIO MANAGER AT LEAST UNTIL YOU'VE FIXED THE "NEW" SYSTEM.  WITHOUT THE OLD APP AND WITH THE NEW APP FAILING BADLY YOUR USERS HAVE NO ACCESS TO THEIR ACCOUNTS.  MEANWHILE THE STOCK MARKET ROLLS ON.  THE "CLASSIC" VERSION HAS AN APPROPRIATE TITLE. GIVE US ACCESS!!
