This is one for all of us AMD users, especially for win10 laptop users, why only Nvidia ppl can play it when even we can! :D

There is Radeon Crimson driver software for us (if you don't have it installed yet, you should be) and it works a little different than Nvidia's "run with graphics processor" option.

When installed right click anywhere on desktop and select "AMD Radeon Settings".

Go to "Preferences" and Radeon Additional Settings will pop up.

Now click "Power", then "PowerPlay" and set everything to Maximize Performance and click "Apply".

Then do the same thing in "Switchable Graphics Global Settings" to set it to max performance and apply.

And last thing to do is to check if the game has been set to high performance in "Switchable Graphics Application Settings" (you'll see icons of games and programs of recently used applications and their graphics settings there).

Greetings to all fellow gamers and I hope this was useful ;)

My issue with the game is not down to compatability

Battle for Middle Earth works fine

Battle for Middle Earth II and RotWK expac won't start at all

Every time I try to launch I get the "Cannot locate DVD" Error message popup -- EVEN WHEN LAUNCHING FROM DVD

Read through all the posts. My Windows 10 laptop required all 3 fixes below (but not necessarily compatibility mode- but do compatibility mode if asked):

    1. Unhide the AppData Roaming and My Battle for Middle-earth files.
    2. Copy and create the options.ini file and paste it - as instructed in these posts.
    3. Right click the One Ring icon and open with your graphics processor (I have NVIDIA GEFORCE).

Continue to feed your LOTR addiction!

These lads and ladies are geniuses! Thank you!
