    Like your, Here in my PC The game was not allowed to create an options. ini in the C:\Users[your login name]\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) Files folder.

    Hey all Great news!!!!

    BFME 2 Does play and work on windows 10.

    This is what I did:

    1. I had to create an Options.ini with this info in it, Create in

    C:\Users[your name]\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files

    AllHealthBars = yes

    AmbientVolume = 100.000000

    AudioLOD = High

    Brightness = 50

    GameSpyIPAddress = 192.168.0.113

    HasSeenLogoMovies = yes

    IdealStaticGameLOD = VeryLow

    MovieVolume = 100.000000

    MusicVolume = 100.000000

    Resolution = 1280 960

    SFXVolume = 100.000000

    ScrollFactor = 50

    SendDelay = no

    StaticGameLOD = UltraHigh

    TimesInGame = 3

    UseEAX3 = no

    VoiceVolume = 100.000000

    1. In same folder, create a new folder called Maps
    2. DO NOT USE COMPATIBILITY!!!!
    3. Go to this link and download

    <http://www.moddb.com/games/battle-for-middle-earth-ii/downloads/bfme-startup-fixxer>

    once installed click on fix bfme2, if it says the fix has been done do you want to reset what u did, click yes.

    It will then popup and say test.

    Run the game and it should work perfectly!!

    1. Enjoy!

    I also have tried the compatibility options... none of them work. I'm going to try this reply I found below out and see if it does the trick. The instructions below I know work for Vista, Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. Hopefully it will for windows 10.

    The game was not allowed to create an options.ini in the C:\Users[your login name]\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth!\[\](http://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png)(tm) Files folder. So if you don't see an options.ini you'll have to create one yourself... it should contain the following lines:

    AllHealthBars = yes

    AlternateMouseSetup = no

    AmbientVolume = 50

    AudioLOD = High

    Brightness = 50

    FixedStaticGameLOD = UltraHigh

    FlashTutorial = 0

    HasSeenLogoMovies = yes

    HeatEffects = yes

    IdealStaticGameLOD = Low

    IsThreadedLoad = yes

    MovieVolume = 70

    MusicVolume = 70

    Resolution = 1680 1050

    SFXVolume = 70

    ScrollFactor = 50

    StaticGameLOD = UltraHigh

    TimesInGame = 54

    UnitDecals = yes

    UseEAX3 = no

    VoiceVolume = 70

    you will have to adjust the resolution to that of your own screen!

    Thanks! It worked :)

    I'm using the patched version (1.02) on Windows 10.
