BSOD caused by SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION ntroskrnl.exe

Hello

I'm having a pickle of a problem and I'm at a loss how to fix it.

Firstly, please see the following:

This is the dump file attributed to my latest BSOD.

For the benefit of building a picture of what the problem is, I attach a further two dump files from BSOD's experienced yesterday and a few weeks back.

I experience these BSOD only when using FSX (Flight Simulator X) and not always in particularly 'stressy' types of environment (high density areas of scenery etc). I have searched the internet tirelessly looking for a fix and have undertaken the recommendations I have found including MEMtests, Virus scans (using Windows Security Essentials), System checks via CMD & updated GPU drivers. None of which seem to lead to a problem area.

Bizarrely, these BSOD don't occur every time I use FSX but do seem to rear their ugly head after a prolonged period of computer usage. Is my computer getting tired and rebooting in order to have a rest? A bit tongue in cheek but potentially.

Anyway, I would really appreciate some help from the experts on this issue because I'm at a loss where to go and would love to find a 'cure'.

Yes, the crashes only occur when using FSX. My CPU is not overclocked so I don't think this will apply to my situation.

Please upload a Speccy report when FSX has been going full blast for some considerable time.

Please download Speccy and upload a copy of the report it produces to OneDrive. It helps to obtain the report at a time when the system is under pressure and temperatures may be higher than normal:

In Windows 7 use Ctrl+Shift+Esc rather than Ctrl+Alt+Del. It gets you to Task Manager quicker. Select Task Manager, the Performance tab, Resource Monitor, and Memory tab. What are the figures for Hardware Reserved, In Use, Modified, Standby and Free? Obtain the figures at the same time you obtain the Speccy report.

Sorry for the delay in my response, I've been on vacation.

I think the issue has been cured. I did a 13 1/2 hour stint yesterday and no BSOD. I think the problem was a replication of gauge information on a config file that was confusing the system and causing the crash. I was pointed in this direction after XPROCKS! reported an issue with a .dll file relating to the aircraft I was flying.

Gerry/XPRocks!, I want to thank you both for sticking with me throughout this process, I am very very grateful. I've learnt a lot about the different things available for error investigation as well of being brave and upgrading my bios.

I consider the issue resolved and the topic can be closed.
