Hearts for Windows 10 - part 2

After reviewing all of the posts to my original message (shown below in italics) about the original Hearts game being deleted from Windows 10, please allow me to make some comments about the current abundant load of "trashy" Hearts games that Microsoft now offers for free and otherwise as "alternatives":
a) The new games are way, way too easy to figure out. I've played Hearts Deluxe some 86 times and have a 78% win rating. I have 48 moons in some 350 games. This is ridiculous. In the original game the most I ever achieved in 10+ years of playing was 68 to 70%. That was far more challenging.
b) The new "Free" games are NOT free. They have ads that are annoying and that take up a lot of screen "real estate".
c) The Paid game is worse than the free games as far a challenge goes.
d) The programmers of the games do not appear to have a lot of knowledge or abilities regarding the game strategies and nuances. They may be good programmers, but they are not "Hearts players".
e) The original game was clean, nicely thought out, well presented, had great graphics, and was fun as well as challenging.
It was not like playing "real" hearts against human opponents, but it still had enough nuances and tricks that made it interesting.
Why - I still ask - was it pulled? Where is the game now? Has it been discarded to some trash heap of technology forever? Has it been banned for life or to another planet? What did Microsoft do with it? Won't they even sell it?
Who is the "genius" that decided to pull the Hearts game from Windows?
This was one of the best features of windows when you needed to take a break from the information overloads.
WHY?
Was it taking up too much software space?
Was it bothering anyone?
Was it as social burden?
Come on guys - we know you were not making money on these type of features and your would rather reap huge rewards from vicious and bloody war and terror games, but not everyone is into that.
Sometime you want to exercise your mind.
Is that a sin?
Will that hurt Microsoft?

2016-03-17T11:48:05+00:00 How can you be a programmer and not know how to play hearts and spades. I started my data processing career in 1976 as a printer operator. During down time which occurred often. We played hearts and spades. I liked the original as well, I kept a 89% win on it. Microsoft what is your response to this.

2016-02-10T16:19:13+00:00 You must decide whether you wish to play the Win 7 games (Hearts, Chess Titans, etc.) on Win 10, or rant about Win 10. The latter is your good right, maybe in some improper place. The former was already answered by Bruce Ellman in one of the prior posts. In case nobody has read that, here's one of his links again: http://winaero.com/blog/get-windows-7-games-for-windows-10/. The old game versions will appear in the "All Apps" section of the Start Menu, not elsewhere, and work and look as always.

2016-02-10T11:47:51+00:00 Ditto here. Even if Hearts was still around the "benefits" of Windows 10 are once again all about Microsoft getting a lead in another market. Really scary now that it's all about giving out personal information on all our devices whether you want or not. And yes, I tried those horrible free ad-soaked games in the store and uninstalled them. Agree with the prior post and also say thanks for sharing experiences that help us all, and I've needed LOTS of help trying to keep a production laptop from turning into a big, fat phone.

I "upgraded" to Windows 10 today and immediately hated it - couldn't do anything, find anything - desktop changed, empty folders, and nothing where I left it. And when I tried to play Hearts, I thought I was losing my mind! I looked everywhere, and nothing. After stumbling onto this discussion, I no longer feel like the village idiot - it wasn't me, it was freakin' Windows 10. Thanks again for allowing me to benefit from your experience and experimentation - back I go to Windows 7, hoping that it will work as described, that I can find my way around again, and get my games back!
