March Windows 8.1 update broke Realtek I2S audio

Hi, I have a Samsung XE500T1C slate that till the beginning of March was working great.  After a Windows update the slate never booted back into Windows.  A system restore worked fine till the next week when the Windows updates were re-installed.  Regrettably my restore point was gone and I had to restore to factory and then upgrade to Windows 8.1.

After the update to 8.1 I was again not able to boot up.  Restarting in safe mode and eliminating devices one at a time revealed the Realtek I2S audio device was causing the problem.  Searching Bing (ok it was Google that found it) shows other have the same issue. 

As long as I leave the audio device disabled my slate works fine.  When I enable it audio works but the camera operational LED turns on.  Then if I restart the slate it never boots back up and its back to safe mode to disable the Realteck I2S audio device.

Windows 8.1 is fully updated.  My slate system software is fully updated...All updates are in place so please don't suggest that!

Removing the Windows updates that came down on March 10th did not work.

Any ideas how to get audio back?

    yea I used the sw update tool to download but not install the drivers and I can reboot perfectly fine now.

    So just to state everything from the start my Xe500t was unable to boot unless you went into safemode and uninstalled the sound driver. Before checking out this thread I had Installed windows 8.1 (not upgraded) from a usb key so I couldn't back track to 8.0, After upgrading to windows 10 VIA the iso not through windows update I was able to install the sound drivers and everything has been resolved.

    the video card driver I need to reinstall as well installed both the video card and the sound card drivers through device manager and I think I might of had to use the show unsupported drivers option when I was browsing for my drivers.

    I'm going to start banging my head against the wall...

    I went to update to 10 via the GetWindows10 app and it says it can't because the graphics accelerator is not compatible.  Here I thought the sound driver was the only problem...

    Any ideas anyone?

    This issue is happening to me also. Its really pissing me off. I havent installed the Win10 technical preview or manually installed it using the ISO. I am going to install it using the GetWindows10 App and see what happens. Please please post something if anyone gets a fix.

    First...forget about Samsung SW UPDATE. I had all the drivers in a folder on a flash drive. After Windows 10 installed the second time, I opened Device Manager and looked for the yellow triangles on items. I updated or installed a driver by directing it to the folder on the flash drive. If I didn't specify the flash drive it would not search it. I had to do the sound driver twice to get it to work. I think it has a Realtek and an Intel driver to install. I did reboot after every driver update. Every thing works great. And no, I am not paid by Microsoft for the last comment.

    Sound is using the same driver(s) that would not work in 8.1. My first attempt, I used SW UPDATE and had it hang on reboot like 8.1 did. After resetting to 8.1, I installed 10 using the link above and started the install within 8.1.

    That sounds identical to what I did as well, but after a reboot I am stuck in an infinite loop.  I will follow the instructions above for a restore point and see what I might be able to do different.
