I recently purchased a custom built pc packed with windows 8.1 which I upgraded to Windows 10.

I installed Age of Mythology yesterday and when I try to run the game nothing happens. I have tried all compatibility suggestions and I get the same result.

I also have this same problem with black and white 2.

I have a NVIDIA Geforce gtx 980 graphics card installed in my pc.

Can you provide any suggestions please.

Thank you.

I got the program to work by disabling digital signed drivers enforcement. Below are instructions for windows 8.1 but I was able to use the steps to disable it on windows 10 as well.

But that's not really a satisfactory solution either, from a security perspective. Also how does the 64 bit driver get installed if you don't have it already, or is this a solution for 32 bit Windows only (or am I missing something)?

CSS Is an even older technology but imagine the uproar if people could not play their existing DVD collections on their new Blu-ray player.

You say "It's not something we can just make compatible on newer versions of windows since no third party is supporting it" but Safedisc was working in all preview builds of windows 10 until the final release.

It is not right to just kill support for something so critical to so many people without consultation or warning.

this issue will force people to download illegal no-cd patches that are possibly full of malware just so they can play the older games that they have paid for.

I'm having the same issue. Just upgraded to Win10 and tried to play AoMTT (with the disk) and nothing happens. The screen stands pat as if I didn't do anything. I went in and changed settings on who could access the files and changed properties and nothing worked. I thought I was alone until I came across this thread. All I want is to play AoMTT, is that too much to ask?

Replying to you since you look frustrated. Compatibility issues are always a problem, games, software, tools.. whatever. You need to by pass the protection of the game.. get a cracked EXE.. you own the disc so its not like you are breaking the law. Use Google to help your self out.

Yes this is not ideal... but you are trying to play a 10+ year old game on brand new software.

    Good Luck buddy!
