I recently purchased a custom built pc packed with windows 8.1 which I upgraded to Windows 10.

I installed Age of Mythology yesterday and when I try to run the game nothing happens. I have tried all compatibility suggestions and I get the same result.

I also have this same problem with black and white 2.

I have a NVIDIA Geforce gtx 980 graphics card installed in my pc.

Can you provide any suggestions please.

Thank you.

I'm having the same issue. Just upgraded to Win10 and tried to play AoMTT (with the disk) and nothing happens. The screen stands pat as if I didn't do anything. I went in and changed settings on who could access the files and changed properties and nothing worked. I thought I was alone until I came across this thread. All I want is to play AoMTT, is that too much to ask?

Replying to you since you look frustrated. Compatibility issues are always a problem, games, software, tools.. whatever. You need to by pass the protection of the game.. get a cracked EXE.. you own the disc so its not like you are breaking the law. Use Google to help your self out.

Yes this is not ideal... but you are trying to play a 10+ year old game on brand new software.

    Good Luck buddy!

Try to go into steam and 'add product...' I've done this with a few games. I think this won't work for every game but worth a try. Please note that safedisc is a very old technology and is no longer supported. It's not something we can just make compatible on newer versions of windows since no third party is supporting it. This will apply to any older games using safedisc.

And still nothing else from Microsoft ...

I'd just like to know whether anyone will or won't be looking at this for us. Simple.

Go to start, then settings, update and security, recovery, go back to Windows 7, or whatever you previous version was.

I think a lot will be doing this, don't take too long this option is only available for one month.
