"Error 1" when installing "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework

Hello,

I see a C:\Windows\System32\catroot and wondered if this is about WU as well, sicne you had me rename catroot2 near the start of this thread? 

I am now receving "Error 1" when installing "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, 4.5.1 and 4.5.2 on Windows 7, Vista, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 x64 (KB3037581)"

Any ideas?

    Please try to download and tell me the exact time and date of the crash.

    Please restart your computer, allow 30 minutes for the system to run before uploading further information so that the impact of making changes can become apparent.

    Please upload and share with everyone fresh copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your One Drive and post a link here. You can remove any earlier copies of the logs from your OneDrive.

    Did HP TouchSmart Calendar update?

    take a shower while the computer sits for 30 minutes as you mentioned

    Please run Internet Explorer with no add-ons. Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). If Internet Explorer behaves correctly, it may be an add-on that is causing the issue. Open Internet Explorer, Tools (press Alt if the menu bar is not showing), Manage add-ons and check through the list for anything suspicious. The whole thing is reversible, so anything that you disable by mistake can be re-enabled.

    Is there a way I can save the list of Add-ons to a file then post it here?
