"Error 1" when installing "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework

The Devices are not showing in your image. To see Hidden Devices (Non Plug and Play Drivers) you need to select View, Show Hidden Devices. It is necessary to do this every time you open Device Manager if you need to see them.

You have three other devices with yellow question marks in your image. What is the Device Error code showing against each device?

Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, right click Command Prompt, and click Run as administratorfrom the drop down menu. Type **findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"**and press the ENTER key.

Please upload a copy of your sfcdetails.txt file to your OneDrive as a shared file and post a link here. Enter sfcdetails.txt in the Search box above the Start button and press the ENTER key to locate the file created.

Note The Sfcdetails.txt file contains details from every time that the System File Checker tool has been run on the computer. The file includes information about files that were not repaired by the System File Checker tool. Verify the date and time entries to determine the problem files that were found the last time that you ran the System File Checker tool.

The System Update Readiness Tool creates a log file that captures any issues that the tool found or fixed. The log file is located at the following location: •%SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log •%SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

The system root is normally C.

You may need to change your settings in Windows to be able to see the file. To show hidden files type Folder Options in the search box above the Start button and select View, Advanced Settings and verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked and "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked. You may need to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.
